About Laura & Allyson
Laura McDougal and Allyson Dykhuizen are knitting teachers and BFFs! They honed their teaching skills working together in yarn stores and at retreats, and in 2021 launched Laura Allyson Party to build a virtual knitting community for their students.
Laura McDougal made the leap to a full time crafty lifestyle in 2019! Her virtual classes can be found at lauramcdougal.com, and she teaches in person at Evanston Stitchworks.
Allyson Dykhuizen has been teaching knitting and designing knitting patterns since 2006! Her virtual sweater knitting classes can be found at allysondykhuizen.com. Her book Midwestern Knits was published in 2015. Her Craftsy class, published in 2018, is included in The Great Courses Knitting 101.

It's a Party! We host knit nights and knit alongs to bring people together virtually. We bring a ton of fun to every event, and work to make everyone feel like the important guest they are!
Learn a Ton! We share helpful tips and tricks throughout our knit alongs to teach you how to be the best knitter you can be. Each month we host a new episode of our Level Up Series so you can learn more about specific aspects of a wide variety of knitting techniques and other crafts.
And we've been hosting KALs and Levels Ups for 3 years! So once you join you'll have access to hundreds of hours of educational content.
